SCALE is now appealing the effects of Mandatory Housing Affordability upzones throughout Seattle. The Appeal to the Growth Management Hearings Board (GMHB) will address issues such as:
  • Displacement of people from their homes.
  • The City ignoring neighborhood plans that neighborhoods agreed to.
  • The impact of increasing the height, bulk, and scale of new buildings.
  • Historic resources.
  • Loss of tree canopy. Insufficient open space/park space.
Our investment in Bricklin & Newman, one of Seattle’s top land use legal firms, will be $35,000. Dave Bricklin recently won a similar GMHB case for an Olympia group (Olympians for Smart Development & Livable Neighborhoods) and we’re optimistic that we can win our case too.

Any donation will help. Your contribution can impact thousands of Seattleites. Thank you on behalf of Seattle’s future.

Thank you for your support of SCALE’s efforts to enhance the quality of life for all Seattleites!
